OUR LAST EVENT WAS NOVEMBER 10th 2010:

Giving Thanks to Our Coast Guard

We are excited to announce that we will have the honor of providing Thanksgiving dinner to Sector New York Coast Guard servicemen and women and their families on Wednesday, November 10th – the day before Veteran’s Day.

The motto of the Coast Guard, Semper Paratus - always ready - describes its importance.

The men and women of the United States Coast Guard are there to keep Americans stay safe in the times of natural and other unforeseen disasters. They are often the unsung heroes.  The Coast Guard Sector New York’s main facility on Staten Island, near the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, is NYC’s main line of port and harbor security and safety.

These men and women achieve the impossible each and every day as they protect our port, and keeps us safe. We believe they deserve at least a lavish dinner of thanks. In these challenging economic times, it is hard for most of us to provide a complete and happy meal for our families, but for servicemen and women, many of whom have seen their salaries fall or become frozen, it can be nearly impossible to provide a meal such as this one.

It is for this reason that we are asking for your help in the form of monetary donations, which will help defray the cost of the dinner. Your generous donations will help us provide the services such as food items and catering services, turkeys, stuffing, assorted breads, butter, vegetables, side dish components, gravies, cranberry relish, assorted pies and beverages.

If you wish to make a donation, please mail a check or money order to:
