Mrs. Virginia Maitland Sachs had a passion for New York City and for all who lived there. During her lifetime, she worked very hard to improve the lives of needy New Yorkers by participating in and initiating many charitable activities.
I have spent many years following the example of Mrs. Virginia Maitland Sachs's legacy.
Though we worked separately, our work has always been one in spirit.
As Mrs. Virginia Maitland Sachs did, I have a passion for helping for the city’s most vulnerable citizens. This passion led me to spend many weekends personally cooking meals, making deliveries and collecting donations for those in need.
Charitable work can be very difficult and I realize that my efforts could have more impact if I reached out to others for help. In order to do so, and to honor the lifetime of hard work of Mrs. Virginia Maitland Sachs, I took the proverbial leap of faith and founded this charitable, non-profit organization, "Virginia’s House of Hope."
Since doing so, I now head up a staff of dedicated volunteers that truly serve the needs of many. For inspiration, I look to the selfless efforts of Mrs. Virginia Maitland Sachs and all the work that she accomplished during her years of service to New York City. My only hope for our new organization is that it lives up to the values that she lived by for all of her life. If we can accomplish that, then we have truly succeeded!
Together we can continue Mrs. Virginia Maitland Sachs’s dream and fulfill the hopes of those who need it most. If you would like to participate in this dream, please click here to learn how to volunteer. If you would like to help our organization with a donation, please click here.
Thank you very much!
