Legal Status and Volunteer Information
We are a 501(c)(3) non profit status with the IRS. Our organization made up of an all-volunteer staff committed to improving the quality of life for all New Yorkers. We come from a diverse set of professional and personal backgrounds, united in intention to support the mission of Virginia’s House of Hope.

Hope is more than just optimism and positive thinking... Hope is an emotion and a virtue. Hope is about believing in something better, even when logic seems against it...Without hope, one can become overwhelmed with despair. That is what Virginia's House of Hope is all about! When one is in need- for whatever reason - matters can seem desperate. Sometimes all one needs is a small act of kindness to lift them up out of a crisis. At Virginia's House of Hope, we work to bring that glimmer of hope to life for New Yorkers in need. A modest offering of charity can lift one's spirits and help to turn things around. We give them a hand up, not a hand out... By delivering meals, clothing or other gifts of life's necessities, we do our part to shine a light of hope for others. Doing so brings us joy... and hopefully joy into the lives of others.
